Welcome connoisseurs
to our traditional regional “Straußwirtschaft” tavern. Come visit our winery for a weekend trip. We’re located just 20 kilometres southwest of Mainz. Ingelheim and Bingen are also close by. Take a break nestled in our excellent location – the Adelpfad – to try our wines and sample regional cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere. Taste our Rhine-Hesse specialty “Spünde” cheese, or one of our freshly prepared seasonal dishes.
Your spot in the sun.
And under the starry sky. When the weather is nice, we also provide service on our sun terrace. From here, a gorgeous panorama stretches out from the Selz valley to the Rhine district. The picturesque landscape invites you to take a hike or cycling tour. We are also open for business on Saturday and Sunday in the summer.
The table is set.
Just between us – if you haven’t yet heard the term “Straußwirtschaft”, it’s what we vintners in the region call our taverns, which are open on a seasonal basis. The name originated from a bouquet of flowers usually hung in front of the winery (a “Blumenstrauß”), along with some bound twigs. Today, vintners still use this marker to communicate their business hours to visitors.

We’ll take care of them. You can also book our vineyard for your family party, company celebration or another event. There’s room for up to 50 guests in our wine bar.
